The new Christmas
lighting „Crystallights“ in the
Kärntner Straße in Vienna was shining with Scholer Crystal
day and night.
When on 27th November
the 550.000 crystal
lights in the most famous shopping mile of Vienna were switched on,
numerous
walkers stopped to marvel the crystalline brilliance. 54 crystal
lighting
elements in a width of four to six meters, fashioned by the popular
designer
Rainer Mutsch, charm the street.
With this project
Scholer Crystal realized in
cooperation with the companies Blachère Illumination Austria and
AHZ Components
Europe’s biggest Christmas lighting project in 2009.
During thousands of
working hours 48.000 meters rope
were pinned with crystal octagons. As illumination of these crystal
strings
serve LED-lighting curtains - a technology, that needs extremely
less
electricity.
